The Current State:
Recent research from Career Builder among HR leaders finds artificial intelligence and automation will have a major impact on HR over the next few years with 13% of HR leaders already seeing evidence of artificial intelligence (AI) becoming a regular part of HR, and 55 % believe AI will have a greater impact in the next five years. This research also reports that lack of HR automation can have a negative ripple effect on a business leading to poorer candidate and employee experience, lower productivity and less employee engagement.
HR needs to understand the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and how AI can be used to transform and enhance the employee experience. Recent research entitled AI at Work, conducted with 1,320 HR leaders by Oracle and Future Workplace found that while 70 percent of people are using some form of AI in their personal life, only 6 percent of HR professionals are actively deploying AI at work. There is a huge opportunity for HR leaders to understand the business impact of using artificial intelligence in recruiting, internal talent mobility, learning & development and coaching to enhance both the candidate and employee experience.
